You are looking at a 1979 AM General M917 military 8 x 6 dump truck with a big cam 400 16 speed transmission, showing 9,907 miles. We purchased this truck in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania a few years back. I was told it spent its life at a state park, very light use. I drove this truck home, 200 miles, and noticed that the transmission was slipping. We were able to find a brand new Army surplus transmission that we had installed. We have used this truck for a little bit of site work and a couple of parades. I do not know a lot about these trucks; but this one seems to be totally original. I believe it even to have original paint. You would be hard pressed to find a straighter, more original, truck. This truck runs, operates and does everything that it should. All pre-inspections are welcomed and encouraged. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, so good luck bidding. I have seen these trucks listed for between $30K - $50K; we are looking for a serious buyer.
