Vehicle description
We have a vintage 1978 Holiday Rambler for sale. We have refurbished while preserving its funky 70s charm. This blast from the past sleeps 6 - 2 in a loft bed (queen), 2 on a futon (double), and 2 on the dinette which converts to a bed (double). The Rambler is in good condition and just needs a little work to be something special!
We"ve had the carburetor rebuilt, and the engine (7.5L 460 V8) runs very well for its age! This Ford E350 handles well and is fun to drive.
Here are some of its finer features (ALL WORKING): - body is in good shape! no leaks! - brand new toilet - new shower fixture - new white water pump - HOT water heater - upholstery on chairs and sofa are like new - black-out curtains for loft bed - black-out cover for front windshield - new smoke detector - new fire extinguisher - all hoses required to empty black and grey water - clear title - no smells!
The rough edges: - There is probably an electrical short in the kitchen area. The refrigerator and microwave were both working until recently, and we suspect that is the issue. However, both are original, so it is also possible that both are broken and need to be replaced and the wiring is fine. - AC unit needs to be replaced. The condenser locked up at the beginning of the summer. - Past water damage has left the counter and floor wavy in spots. Most cosmetic issues have been fixed. - Heater needs a new ignition. We use a space heater. - Gas generator needs a new starter. Works just fine with shore power. - Needs a fresh coat of paint and new tires. - Brakes need a pass through a rotor lathe. - The odometer only has 5 digits, so it is likely rolled over. There"s no way to know the exact mileage of the vehicle.
Unless you are very handy with old cars or in the New Orleans area, we would recommend getting the Rambler delivered. We run it around town monthly, but it has not been on a journey of any real distance in almost 3 years. (specs for calculating delivery cost - length 27"6" width 7"8" height 10"8" weight 12k lbs)
This is practically a turnkey camp for someone with a piece of land. We love it, but we aren’t using it. If you"re in the area and want to take a look, message me and we"ll figure something out.
As is, where is. Deposit is non-refundable. Please bid carefully.
