Vehicle description
You are bidding on one of the most unique RV’s in American history the 1978 GMC 26ft Class A. This cutting edge for its day motorhome is powered by the legendary Oldsmobile 440 engine and this one is a great running one for sure. The front wheel drive GMC is legendary for the smoothness of the drive and it handles the roads amazing. There is sleeping for up to 3 adults with the flip down bunk and will make the ultimate local band tour bus! This motorhome is in great shape for its age and will make someone a fun throwback RV! The paint is in good shape for the age and still has a good amount of shine to it. It does have a few minor scrapes which are hard to show in pictures but nothing to be worried about. We put the wheels and tires on the coach and they have less than 60 miles on them. The inside of the RV is like stepping back into time. The upholstery is in great shape and shows almost no signs of wear. It has two AC units to keep you cool in the summer and has a propane heating system to keep you warm. Other options include, 6-gallon water heater, gas/electric fridge, water pump, full bathroom, gas cooktop, convection microwave, Onan 6.0KW generator, plus much more. The knocks on the motorhome are as follows: Water leak under window in bathroom that has been repaired, Leak in kitchen window also repaired, Air bag system leaks when coach is stationary and turned off (does not affect the ride). The cluster also went out so the ODO has been replaced and shows zero miles. I believe the coach has around 45,000 miles on it. Please do not forget the fact that this RV is a 1978 model and it will need some attention from the next owner. If you are not able or capable of fixing or tinkering with things then a older classic motorhome is probably not for you. I will make sure that the room AC’s blow cold and the coach runs and drives like it should but that is where I will stop on the guarantee’s. I am not saying that to say there is anything major wrong with the coach but I just want the next owner to understand it’s a older motorhome and it will be far from perfect. It will make the next owner a great coach with some TLC and I promise you it will be a head turner while traveling across America and making dreams! If you have any questions please feel free to call me anytime on my cell at 817-907-1213. Greg Weghorst
