Vehicle description
I"m selling my 1978 Dodge Xplorer Camper Van. Was going to be a restoration project because this thing is pretty much a VW Bus but better because it has standing room, a BATHROOM, a sink, table, and small bedroom that fits 2 (I have the custom mattress). Even when I drove it to the car shop to get new brakes, people honked at it - imagine how cool this thing could be with even just a new paint job. Unfortunately, unexpected home maintenance costs have forced me to abandon my project.
The other awesome thing about this van (in addition to the regular RV amenities) is that it is 18.5 feet long, so it can be pulled through into a normal, standard parking space. My dream was to paint it the original colors on the outside, on the inside do wall and floor burnt orange shag rug with flower-power cushions and drapes, maybe even a beaded doorway entry to the bedroom. It was going to be my retro retreat, but life has drawn funds elsewhere, so now"s your chance to build your own dream.
It drove when I bought it, and I had new brakes, battery, some wiring, and a few other miscellaneous odds and ends. Now it turns over, but won"t start (will still shift into neutral). Buyer will be responsible for arranging all shipping. It is sold as-is, no warranties or guarantees. Pictures were taken 3-9-19 to accurately reflect the current condition.
(Note: This was up for sale about 2 weeks ago; was purchased by a spam account, now relisted.)
