This is a Very Clean and Very Original and Very Vintage 1978 Dodge Chinook! 5.9L 360V8 motor, auto trans, runs strong and drives great. The rims and tires have been updated from the 16.5"s to 16" with some very nice all terrain tires that look about new. New rebuilt Carburetor, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, fresh tune up and oil change. The dual exhaust has a nice rumble to it. New coach and starter batteries as well. The dealer installed AC does not work.
The inside is amazing, original and in beautiful condition. The couch dinette will fold down and sleep 4 across if needed, and one small person in the upper bunk. The kitchen has a large 3 way refrigerator, 4 burner stove with oven, hood vent with fan and light, hot and cold running water with fresh, grey and black water tanks as well as a propane water heater. There is a roof top AC unit, and a propane furnace. There is a wet bath with a flush toilet and shower with a roof vent/12V fan. Everything works as it should.
All of the wood, carpet, upholstery, and factory window shades are in excellent condition. There is one rip on the vinyl tufted hood cover, the front seats are in great original condition as well. All of the interior lights have been upgraded to LED"s, No smells or leaks.
The outside looks awesome as well. It is almost all original but there has been some paint work on the cab. There is no rust some of the letting is faded on the fiberglass body. but the stripes and the rest of the body looks great. There is a brand new rear entry door, and all new outside lights as well.
