A great little camper. The interior was completely refurbished and designed it to what would work best for the camper size. This camper truck makes everyone smile and it looks like it is brand new. "The Nook" is for sale, don"t think a vw bus is better, this Toyota is far more reliable, unique, and way better on gas (and less $), This one is essential brand new, as the whole camper was gutted and remodeled.
The truck:
-1978 Toyota Pickup Hilux - Manual Transmission -21 MPG 4 cyl 20R engine -brakes good -runs great, daily driver -rear wide tires for stability, all tires in B+ good shape -full tune-up just completed - oil change w/ filter, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires, filters -new carpet kit and seat covers -no rust -Passed smog, clean AZ title in my name - USB/Bluetooth/Handsfree stereo with Kenwood speakers (one is removable for camping)
The camper:
-totally gutted and remodeled -new flooring -new paneling and pasted white -new countertop -new backsplash -LED interior lighting -fridge/icebox -2 burner stovetop -sink with faucet and water reservoir -repainted interior and exterior -storage under every seat -new upholstery and curtains -Pop Top in great shape/clean, zippers all good
I purchased this little camper with the intention of making lasting memories with my family. We have two small children and the camper is simply too small for a family of four. I love the great gas mileage, drove it from San Diego CA to Casa Grande AZ with no problems.
Needs nothing but if your picky. . .
- rear door has a broken handle but does lock, it works, but can be replaced ($40) - passenger door handle broke last week, ordered new one off ($35) - passenger side window crank is striped and needs replaces ($10) - could use steering alignment and shocks, that would make it a bit smoother ride - Toyota emblem missing on front grill (ebay $40) - interior dome light cover missing ($3 ebay) - driver side heater/air vent missing ($6 ebay)
