Vehicle description
1978 Chevy C65. 366 ci V-8 gas engine, 5-speed trans with 2-speed 17K rear axle, 24K GVW, frame reinforcement. Good tires all around - 9.00- 20s. Recently serviced, new filters and fluids, ready for harvest.
Truck has the fiberglass tilt front end (no breaks or cracks) for ease of service.
14 ft. Midwest grain bed with fold-down livestock sides (3), no end gate. Twin-cylinder hoist works well.
Truck does have some rust on the bottom of both doors and there is a hole in the floor between the driver"s door and the seat base. Repair panels and new door shells are readily available at reasonable prices from Chevy truck parts suppliers as the cab is the same as the 1973-1987 pickup. I do have two good, used running boards that go with the truck.
Truck runs very well and is very dependable, everything works as it should except the aftermarket radio-cassette deck. I have done the best I can to describe this vehicle objectively and I’m happy to answer any questions and take more photos upon request. Remember, a bid is a commitment to purchase this vehicle, not a promise to come take a look and decide to buy it. It is your responsibility to make sure ownership of this vehicle can be transferred to you in your state. $500 non-refundable PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of auction close with the balance due within 7 calendar days in the form of wire transfer, certified check or cash in person. Vehicle doesn’t move until paid in full. Vehicle is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I’m also happy to work with your shipper to get it loaded. Vehicle is located in Jasper, Indiana, 47546.
