Vehicle description
No Reserve Starting at $0.99 and lasting only 5 days - This Classic will sell to the highest bidder.
*Important - the winning bidder must be able to pick the RV up no later than the afternoon of Friday, June 30th in Denver, CO.*
We are selling our 1977 23 foot GMC motorhome. This RV is in good running condition and the interior is about 90% complete with an update. We purchased this RV for $6,500 less than a year ago and we have put over $6,000 into it since then. This is your opportunity to get this RV for a real steal.
My wife and I bought this RV after we got married last June in order to renovate it and take it on a road trip for our 1 year anniversary/honeymoon. We are actually doing that now. I am writing this post sitting in the RV just outside Jackson, WY at the base of the Grand Tetons. We have traveled from Tulsa, OK (where we live) here without any trouble with the RV. We are finishing our Honeymoon in Denver around the 25th of June and we do not plan to take the RV back home.
There are some cosmetic things we did not have time to finish on the interior but as you see in the pictures, it is in really great shape. In addition to the interior, the coach has a brand new Rooftop AC, new brakes all around, new steering gear, fresh belts and hoses, a new water pump and a motor that has made it from Tulsa to Yellowstone with a number of stops in between.
As with any 1977 vehicle, there are some issues you should know about. The generator is tough to start and will sputter out after a short while of running. .we only use the plug in but if you are going back country you will want to get this fixed. The bathroom is all original. I am pretty certain all the plumbing works but we have not used it (we just store things back there). The coach was running rough and would sometimes die at idle so I turned the idle up. .it no longer does but it tells me that it may need a tune up or some carburetor work. At around 60-70 the coach will shake (likely a tire balance issue). The original air suspension system does not inflate properly so we do it manually. .not really a major problem but slightly less convenient. We have not tested the propane heat and appliances but we believe they work. .
There are areas of the interior that have not been completed including the headliner in the front (it is partially torn off and needs to be replaced. One small area behind the drivers seat needs a wall panel put in. The interior window trim pieces need to be put back in (we took them out and painted them but did not put them back in). The back bathroom has not been updated.
We want someone to enjoy this classic as much as we have. Once again, please only bid on this RV is you are able to pick it up (or have someone else pick it up for you) in Denver on or before Friday, June 30th.
Don"t miss your opportunity to own a truly classic motorhome.
