Vehicle description
Have some land? Want a sweet little cozy home for cheap?
The Diplomat II can be yours!
This 1977 RV is 28" long and feels quite spacious inside. I bought it in the summer of 2015 and drove it from Camas to Carson (40 miles), where it"s been a home ever since. We redid the bathroom at that time, added a new 3/4 fridge and microwave, and put in a new hot water heater that can be run on either gas or electric. We painted the roof with a white sealant, and I added supports so that one side can have a full size twin mattress, while the other side is the original (still comfy) smaller twin size.
I changed the oil, the oil filter, the fuel filter, and added sea foam and some new gas to it. Currently, I can start it but when I put it into drive it shuts off. I drove it here where I bought it, so assume that with a little effort it would run again. The engine is a Dodge 318.
I do have the title and a bill of sale, but did not register it. We request you tow it wherever you need to go and play around if you want, (unless you are a mechanic and can quick trouble shoot why it shuts of when put in gear) but are assuming you"ll just continue using it as a home. Since I did not register it, am not sure what that means for you, but yes I have the title and bill of sale from previous owner.
Selling it for cheap because our new house is finally build and we"ve gotten plenty of use out of it. There"s all 4-5 boxes of kitchen/house things you can look thru. The pictures are shown with the bedding which you can keep if you want, and all the curtains which helps keep it cool.
All pictures are recent except for one without the curtains so you can see with full light coming in.
The oven does not work. The stove was, but it"s out of propane. I just cleaned out the black sewer tank a month ago so that is cleaned and emptied. There was some trouble with water around the toilet, so that will need some looking into. There"s an AC on the roof that stopped working, so we had one set in the window which worked well (we"ll keep that, not included).
The tires have been covered (still are) and the whole thing was boxed in with plywood, so I"d guess the tires are fine (I had a second RV that I am keeping that was parked in front of this one with the same scenario (covers and a skirt). Just got that one up and running again, and took it camping. We didn"t even need to add air to the tires! amazing really).
What else? Just ask.
