Vehicle description
Looking for an aluminum travel trailer you can polish up and make your own? 30 foot 1977 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht up for grabs! This is the biggest model Airstream made that year, has plenty of space to do what you want with. This is definitely a work in progress, your basic "handyperson"s special," but has fresh Dexter axles, brakes, shocks and five Goodyear Endurance tires. Was used regularly around NorCal until parked in current covered storage in early 2020. Tows great, we used it for summer camping: the AC worked great, but there"s no propane furnace currently installed!
Rare Center Bath version, so you don"t have to walk through the bedroom to get a bathroom in the tail! Original twin bunks removed, replaced with a pair of bunk beds with Ikea dressers in rear bedroom.
All interior lights replaced w/ LED bulbs.
Large aluminum LP tanks certified, new LP regulator on trailer.
Manual jack replaced with electric tongue jack.
FLOR carpet tiles in front salon and rear bedroom.
Updated freshwater pump, hose, regulator. Toilet removed to use composting toilet. (Composting toilet not included.)
This is a project, not a restored trailer. Work that needs to be done that we know of: No propane furnace currently installed. No battery charger is currently installed Condition of water heater is unknown. Will need refrigerator, 12V Isotherm CR 195 not included in sale. No awnings are currently installed, hanger for ZipDee awning is installed on curb side of trailer. 12V wiring updated to modern blade fuses, but fuse block needs to be secured to the bulkhead. Needs ceiling light covers, available at Vintage Trailer Supply, InlandRV, etc. Needs bathroom ceiling fan installed. (Fan included) Dent near bottom of unit on streetside needs repair. (See photo.) Sub-flooring is fairly solid for a 40+ year old Airstream. Some on rear streetside has drooped near the exterior edge. Like most vintage airstreams, new sub-flooring is a good idea. Bathroom door needs some kind of travel lock put in place. Exterior bathroom ply could use replacement or reinfocement. Lots of small work, like replacing the screws on the folding couch bed in the front, installing flooring in the kitchen/bathroom area.
PLEASE HAVE PAYMENT FUNDS READY TO GO BEFORE YOU BID ON THIS TRAILER. I WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU TO SECURE A LOAN. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 72 HOURS THANKS! !
* * This is a USED trailer, needs work, and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is NOT a "brand new" trailer. It is over 40 years old. It hasn"t had a ground up restoration. If you"re expecting a Brand NEW camper, please buy one. If you want a fully restored trailer, this is not the trailer you"re looking for!
