“Clean AZ title. Parked next to my house in Orange County CA. Not sure if it will pass CA smog. Runs, but leaked radiator fluid from front of radiator (hoses?) and ran hot on recent trip around the neighborhood. Within the last year I replaced radiator replaced, engine tuned, transmission sealed. Also had dash A/C repaired, but it only worked for a couple of months, belt squeal indicated belt misalignment. 2 year old tires, roof AC works, generator works, other camping systems should work, but not guaranteed. Paint has dullish patina, paint or strip and mirror polish the aluminium or just leave as is.”

Vehicle description

This is an Airstream Argosy 28 motorhome powered by a Chevrolet 454 V-8. Looks like a giant classic VW microbus! Perfect if your looking for a vintage car, Airstream and a glamper tiny home. The Argosy has the traditional aluminum skin under the paint that can be mirror polished with the exception of the front and rear roof caps which are steel. The rig is mostly original and awaits your Airstream makeover. I purchased this about 6 years ago and planned to put it on my property in Arizona, but decided to use it as a separate office parked next to my house here in Orange County California. I started it up regularly, but really didn"t drive it anywhere other than the beach every now and then for an ocean view office. I had all leaks repaired including a resealing the transmission and a new radiator - I put over $10K including new tires all the way around 2 years ago. It starts and drives, but on a recent drive around the neighborhood, it started leaking radiator fluid in front of the radiator. The engine started to get hot so gingerly drove it back home. You"ll need to have it towed. I can drive it to the front of the house so a tow service can pick it up. Also, please note this motorhome has NOT BEEN SMOG CHECKED IN CALIFORNIA. It is sold for use outside of CA (or parked as a glamper) and I do not guarantee it will pass a CA smog check.
Overall it is pretty good shape. The generator works, the roof AC works, the refrigerator worked on gas as of last year, but it didn"t work on 120AC, am guessing the heating element will need replacement. I had the dash air fixed but the belt squealed and finally gave out, I haven"t taken it back for repair. The furnace worked, but I haven"t started it in a couple of years. I never started the water heater, but it looked newish when i purchased it. There are 2 100 watt solar panels on top and 4 deep cycle batteries on board (in addition to a fifth starting battery.) The stereo works well, it has bluetooth and a larger sub-woofer amp and speaker under the couch. The front couch unfolds into a comfortable double bed - it has never been sleep on, just sat on. Note the cool retro hot rod steering wheel. I always get a "thumbs up" when driving down the road. Good luck and happy bidding!
It is insured for $17K, and these are the NADA values: Values Suggested
