Well here we go. My now 94 year old dad bought this GMC in Cincinatti in 2012 to work on and use. As you can imagine since we drove it home it has seen little use, mostly short trips up north to church camp and South Bend to the convention. He has owned several of these in his lifetime and knows them well. It has all new brake lines, air bags, tires, water heater, and front wheel bearings and lower ball joints, and both gas tanks have been dropped and repainted. That said this unit is not rusty, and the frame is in really good condition as well as the exhaust system. It runs and drives well, the generator runs also, both roof AC units work but no cab AC at this time. It could use a paint job (both wheel pants are here) and the mostly original interior is fair, but the rear conversation seating is gone, and the floors are now real hardwood. The wet bath is ok too. The odometer reads just over 12,000 so one would expect it has rolled over? Take a look at the pictures, and feel free to ask to see more if you want. It is stored inside his polebarn right here in Grand Rapids MI at his home. No promises but I suspect it could be driven just about anywhere as these old units are legendary for reliability.
