Vehicle description
Classic 1976 Airstream 31 ft Land Yacht Rear Bath . Sold as seen. This unit has a lot of potential for someone looking to restore a classic Airstream. This model and year is prized by collectors and restorers.
The shell and floor are solid. There is very minor dry rot on the tires but has been towed successfully in the last couple of years. It comes with a weight distributing hitch. The propane and other appliances have mostly been removed but the bathroom is intact.
This unit will require significant inside work to be restored to a usable condition. Please confirm via Internet Search that this unit is priced significantly below what similar units are bringing. We can respond to questions and provide background, if desired and/or arrange for an inspection for qualified buyers.
There are no known defects with this unit (although I have not tried the air conditioner recently) but I will state frankly that I am not knowledgeable in mechanical matters. But it was used in South Carolina, the Outer Banks, California and Florida for many years and now just needs somebody who is handy to get it back on the road.
The Airstream is in Leasburg, near Roxboro NC. For registration, the NC Pink Slip is available. The Buyer will need to make arrangements to tow the unit from Leasburg.
