Vehicle description
I bought this camper with the intention to totally restore it. It had been willfully nelected but all it"s components were intact. So it was carefully disassembled and all original interior I have stored. All windows are in excellent condition. Entry door in excellent condition. I reconditioned the frame and sealed it with Por15. Repacked the wheel bearings before reassembling the trailer. Installed a new plywood floor (painted it with several coats on paint) and undercoated it with Herculiner. All that is needed now is to use the old walls for templates to rebuild upon the floor. I have all the original skins as well, should you desire them. I have all interior aluminum trim (even floor trim). It has a beautifully satin finish, polished round bumper. I do have a reserve price on the Scotty, only because of the monies already put into it and I believe that I could get the reserve price, and better, if I decided to sell components seperately. I"m going this route first because I would like to see someone who loves these campers have everything they need to rebuild this Scotty with original parts if they so desire. All the demo has been done so you will have a very good headstart on the rebuilding. I did redo the table-top formica (see picture) and have enough of the same formica to redo the kitchen counter-top to match that I bought through Home Depot because the existing was in such bad shape. The only thing that I can remember that I didn"t keep were all the exterior running light fixtures because they were in such bad shape and the interior electric light fixture that is over by the guacho because it was broken. The thing that makes having one of these vintage trailers even more wonderful is that they fit into the modern day garage because of their height. If there are any things that you would like to be made clearer concerning the Scotty, please contact me and I will do my best to answer your questions. I live in northern Minnesota. If you pay in full and need to pick up the camper at a later time this summer, we can make arrangements.
