Vehicle description
Hello & Welcome!
Featured in this listing is an outstanding 1975 APOLLO 2900RB (Dodge) 30ft Motorhome which is classic in design and still very streamlined for its age (space age). This coach was built to the highest standards equal to Kings Highway, Vogue, Monaco or Country Coach. The outer shell is comprised of a solid piece of marine-grade fiberglass, making it extremely weather resistant not only in terms of weld-points and seams that can rust open on metal RV"s, but also in terms of temperature control as fiberglass is a tremendous insulator. The rig was built in 1975, but underwent a complete renovation in 1985 and upon reviewing all the original receipts, we"d venture to guess the upgrades were equal to the value of the motor home, so it is nicely appointed and has always been kept clean. We have owned it for the past 13 years, but never traveled very far and lately it has just been in storage waiting for someone else to come along and get some use out of it. If you are mechanically minded & need a place to live or just a way to travel, this is a great option for you! Because it hasn"t traveled in the past few years, the batteries are dead and other things might need attention too, but these engines are bullet-proof and might very well fire on the first shot. It is very much a livable space having beds to COMFORTABLY sleep 6 adults (Fold-down sofa, bunk above drivers seats, 2 twins in back & 1 w/fold down bunk/storage area). The back room includes a large mirrored closet with built-in dresser, toilet, sink, bathtub shower w/seat, central vacuum and tons of storage. Sleeping section has a bunk and the twin beds which can actually be slid together to make a California King as well as copious amounts of storage, and 2 AC units, crank for the TV antenna and your temperature controls. Kitchen section includes a sizable "Dometic" refrigerator/freezer, newer microwave, gas stove & range, exhaust fan, wall mounted central control panel and plenty more storage space. Living section has your 2 barrel chairs, fold down table, fold down sofa and yes, more cabinets. Pilots cabin has 2 of the most comfortable Captain"s chairs you"ll ever sit in, fold down visors, individual fans, weather station, instrumentation & above head fold-down bunk bed. The outside also has a few lower compartments for storing batteries, water hoses, the Onan Generator, so this rig is almost a hybrid between a basement model and non-basement model. Serious buyers are welcome to contact us about anything, and are ENCOURAGED to see it in person anytime! Vehicle insurance & registration are current, title is clean and free of leins. Comes with original owner"s manual, electrical schematics and many receipts and original booklets. Any other questions or if you need more photographs, please contact us via eBay.
Thank you for looking!
