1974 CVRT Sabre
CVRT is a track reconnaissance vehicle cable of 50+ mph and is fully road legal. Weighing in at around 8t and being only 6.8’ tall, 17.4’ long, and 7’ wide it fits in the average garage and much easier to move around then a Saladin, or FV432 series. Currently titled and on VT plates. She is ready to go.
Excellent mechanical condition. New re-conditioned engine, new tracks, 4 new batteries, many new, road wheels, all electrics working, all glass clean no fogging, all radios and intercoms working, main gun fitted along with airsoft coax.
Turret is fully complete with working gun sights both day and night, commander’s sights, intercom with headsets, duel 353 clansman radios, vision blocks, ammo racks, storage baskets, lights, BV vessel fully working fire control system that runs a propane cannon simulator set at 90 rpm like the real Rarden cannon. This turret is as complete as legally allowable in the states. The Rarden looks amazing when fired! All the fire control switches work from the gun selector to fire switch. Airsoft hpa m249 in the coax position is also wired into the system.
Driver compartment all gauges, intercom lights, blinkers, day and night drivers block fully working. Shift and drives like a dream.
Exterior is painted in colors of 2RTR Cold War camouflage, netting, and fighting eyes. All bins and antennas are fitted.
Jaguar J60 runs amazing. It was a reconditioned engine I had fitted when restored in the U.K. I just fitted new spark plugs and thermostat. All fluids changed less then 3 months and 50 miles ago.
Over half the road wheels are brand new and it comes with two spare road wheels.
Track is brand new with less then 100 miles on. Track itself was over $6,000.
This Sabre was fully rebuilt in the U.K. by leading CVRT specialist with 30+ years experience before I shipped over. References available regarding build and maintenance upon request. It has since then been professionally maintained and serviced. Full CES tools and manuals are included with the Sabre. Spare belts, starter, pads and more included.
Full military history and in service pictures. Sabre served with 2 RTR and 9/12th Lancets in Germany from 1976 till 1988 when it was moved to Scotland with the Scots Dragoon Guards. Then it was retired in 2004.
Price is $85,000. For an extra $25k I can include fully serviced in amazing condition M915A1 and 20t 20ft trailer to move it. Sale is so I can buy a CVRT Spartan so I can carry all my kids!
