Vehicle description
This is a comfortable, reliable classic GMC motorcoach. GMC built this style motorhome from 1973-78 and it became an instant classic with it"s timeless style from that time on. A quick search on the internet will show the various customs people have built plus all the various parts and aftermarket providers who support this particular model.
I bought this unit from a retired gentleman in 2018. He had initially bought it and restored it in 2016 with the intention of travelling with his wife, but health issues changed his plans, so he opted to sell it. I had initially planned to make some long journeys with this rig, but unexpected life changes and new responsibilities interfered, so it"s been sitting for the past 2 years.
I made an 820 mile journey with the RV when I purchased it in Indiana and drove it to New York where it drove flawlessly. I"ve never used it as a camper, so I can"t refer to my own experiences with the RV mechanicals, but the previous owner assured me they were all in working order as he had made several repairs and updates in the time he owned it. The previous owner maintained a log adding up to nearly $7000 of all the items, services, and parts he paid for over the time he owned the rig. Since taking ownership, I have nearly $1000 in additional repairs and updates.
I will be providing the journal of parts and repairs, most of the receipts for those items, a GMC parts book with illustrations, and PDF print of the entire owner"s manual with this purchase.
A listing of the combined repairs, updates, and services includes the following:
Mechanical: Batteries & wires, engine tune-ups and updating, generator tune-ups and updating, radiator hoses, exhaust updates, idler arm, and several extra motor and mechanical parts Coach Body: New windshields and glass, hydraulic jack and contact point for GMC Camper and Interior: New carpet throughout, updated interior electrical and lighting, plumbing updates and repairs, door and cabinet hardware repairs and updates, black water repair and update, toilet repair Entertainment and Electronics: New head unit with reverse camera, CB radio, flat panel TV, power inverter Comfort: Kitchen items, new bench and table which fold into 2 person bed, sun shades
It"s preferred that the buyer arranges shipping, but alternate accommodations may be negotiated
