1969 Mustang Mach1 Race Car
Inquiries / Questions:
Up for auction is a 1969 Mustang Mach1 drag-race car. Car is originally an early 428 4-speed Mach-1. (See Marti Report) This is a very cool vintage race car with a great deal of history. The car was originally bought brand new and driven right to the race shop (total of 9 street miles) to be converted to a “factory Stock” race car. It was a national record holder in that class for 3 years. Car was converted to a bracket car in the 90’s and was a 9:90 car (has run 9:60 full throttle pass). The cage is certified for 8:50. It’s turn-key and ready to rock. Car retains its original rockers, doors, roof, quarters, subframe rails, torque boxes, door jambs, quarter windows, etc. This car could be restored to original or make any level of resto-mod to pro-street monster. The paint job looks great for a race car – very shiny but does show signs of age. The car is a real crowd pleaser. Lettering has not been removed but easily could be. The car has a clear title.
