Vehicle description

All the vintage goodness of an Airstream for a much lower price. We have really enjoyed traveling with this trailer. It’s perfect for family travel pulled behind an SUV (like we did with a GMC Denali), or a mobile business, or an additional bedroom/office. We are done with our trailering season and now we’re looking for new owners who will enjoy it as much as we did! This is a “blank canvas” situation, where you can build it out to your liking. The hardest work has already been done by a professional restoration company. There are honey oak wood floors, a brand new 10gal electric water heater (never used), electric wiring and a small solar system in place, and an electric jack. The tires have plenty of life left in them and we’ve never had water damage. It"s about 4,500lbs unloaded, meaning you don’t have to have a monster truck to tow it. ???? PLEASE NOTE: It does not have anything built in - no plumbing, bathroom, kitchen or beds - which leaves it wide open to use however you want! THE DETAILS: - 1968 Avion Travelcader - 28 ft total length - 8 ft wide - Clean title - Tires are good - Approx. 4,100 miles on them. - Wheel bearings were repacked in 2016 - Brakes installed in 2016 (used for approx. 4,100 miles) - No water damage or leaks. - New 10 gallon water heater - 4 Stabilizer jacks - All windows functional (open and close) except the back one. - One window has a broken pane, which is patched and sealed. - Oak floors throughout. - One spot in the floor over original bathroom area feels soft, where previous owner didn’t build sub flooring. They built a bed platform over that area, but we removed it to use the space differently. - One small patch of the floor had mildew damage as the result of using a mattress on the floor in a humid place. The wood is discolored but solid. - Electrical is updated and functional; there is one outlet that doesn’t work. An electrician could probably figure this out. - There is wiring sticking out of different parts of the walls ready for other items to be hooked up (lights, stove, fridge, etc.). We have bundled these wires with white duct tape (see photos). - Several lights and a stereo are wired to a small solar system; the solar panel is broken but could easily be replaced. - The original stove pipe hangs down. - The inside door handle is broken; the original door handle parts are present - The screen door needs to be reattached. - There are temporary brake lights installed - Original cabinets in front and rear of trailer. - There is a cut hole in the front floor for a dinette table pole to mount into. We removed it to use the space differently. d- There is a dent on “drivers side” of the front section (see photos). - There is a small scrape/dent on the “passenger side” of the front section (see photos). - There is rust on the back bumper - There is rust on the tongue, and in spots you can see through the metal. (This may need addressing before any long tows, however we have moved it many times with no problems.)
