Up for sale is my one of a kind vintage 1968 17" Airstream caravel land yacht travel trailer. This has been a 2 1/2 year project for me. Tons of work and money gone into it. Going to build a toy hauler so I finally decided to post it for sale. This was not a frame off restoration but the majority of it has been remodeled. This is a very solid trailer in great working order with all new fixtures, utilities, cabinets and such. Previous owner started a overhaul that I continued to the point at which its at now. Flooring was replaced for any of the weak spots then topped off with a vinyl plank flooring. No expenses were spared with this build. All birch plywood cabinets, aluminum trim / valences, stainless back splash. Has all new plumbing, electrical, gas lines. New 30 gal fresh water tank and pump. Has a cassette style toilet. There is no black or gray tank. Sinks drain to shower which go outside through a 2" pvc pipe can let it drain to the ground or use a portable catch tank. Shower has a custom made pan with fully waterproof walls and floor in white raptor liner coating. Propane instant hot water heater and a propane wall ventless space heater. 2 20# tanks, with a auto change over regulator. Electrical has a twist lock 120v land connector and a 120v to 12v charger/converter thats wired into a marine deep cycle battery. All electrical has been gone through or replaced. 12v lighting in the whole inside mostly led. Has a led TV/DVD combo and a pioneer sound system. 12v/120v refrigerator. New 13500 btu attwood rooftop a/c unit with remote control. Cooking can be done on the multi cooker (included) and removable or a portable grill.That way you can have more counter space. Has microwave under the sink. Sofa fold out to a bed (48”x 72”) and dinette drops to a bed. Has table that mounts on the outside for a dinette extension. Lots of storage throughout. (overhead, under seats etc.). Tires and electric brakes in good shape. New full size aluminum matching spare. New 7 pin wiring harness to junction box. Has all new led clearance and brake lights. Added four extra clearance lights where original reflectors went on the lower sides. Light weight bumper was removed for a very sturdy one and aluminum cover plate. New door and window seals throughout. Reworked all access doors, have keys for all locks. All screens have been replaced roller shades added. Beautiful unit throughout lots of custom features. Get compliments on it all the time. Cons: has a few dents and scratches on the outside. Mainly on the front left corner. Came like that and I haven"t messed with it. Started brushing down some of the aluminum. Clear will have to be removed if you decide to polish it. Also vinyl floor has some bigger gaps in spots from expanding and contracting. Coax jack snapped off the tv but dvd works fine. Other then that it"s in great shape for the year. Has clear title ready to go. One of a kind unit don’t come across these often I have only ever seen three of these for sale and nothing close to the interior of mine. 100% ready to camp in.
