Vehicle description
Up for sale is my beautiful little Cardinal trailer which has served me well but it is time to upgrade. I purchased this trailer in 2013 from a party in Yucca Valley near Palm Springs. . .a nice and dry area and that shows in the condition of the interior. I have restored this trailer to its former glory and it is beautiful. This camper is 13 foot long from tongue to rear and has a 10 foot long box. It is an unusual model as it is very low in height and it is designed to be stored in a typical garage. . hence it is called a garage model. It tows very well and weighs about 1300 pounds unladen. I have put on over 5,000 miles on this rig since purchased and my wife and I made trips in it for as long as 30 days at a time! I tow it with a Honda Pilot and my SUV does not even know its there. Back in 2013 I began restoring the trailer which included: New Cushions and wooden support New 12 volt Battery, Charging system and wiring New Goodyear Tires and repacked wheel bearings New Table and hardware New top vent with fan and lighting over table New linoleum floor and new carpet under the table New tongue jack and 4 pole wiring New 12 gallon water tank and pump faucet The exterior is in good condition and I have repainted the majority of the trailer except for the roof. I did not paint the roof as the trailer does not leak and I wanted it stay that way. I restored the original Cardinal wing graphics and decals. The front and side aluminum windows were removed and polished as well as the door, and new seal putty was installed. The interior rear corners show evidence that there was some leakage at one time, but it has not leaked while I have owned it even in torrential downpours in Glacier National Park. The interior has the original turquoise sink, stove top, and refrigerator as well as the original counter tops. The refrigerator uses block ice and works ok but we always traveled with a back up ice chest. All the cabinets are original and are well finished. The interior wall panels are the original Japanese Ash and have a warm honey colored finish. There is no toilet but a Porto potty is included which stores nicely in the wardrobe when not in use. Inside height standing at the sink is a little over 5"-10". Title is clear and this trailer has permanent plates. Overall I would say this trailer is an 8 out 10. . and is ready to travel!
