Vehicle description

1967 26" Airstream camper. Texas title. This camper has been used and loved and has bumps and scrapes that you"d expect given its age. I"ve owned this camper for 20 years and have modified it to meet my family"s needs, including: 2" Bulldog hitch, heavy stock trailer jack, rear leveling jacks, two large propane tanks, propane heater, 10-gallon propane water heater, and a Dometic air conditioner with heat strip. (The A/C power wire needs to be concealed.)
The interior was reconfigured, including: 2 full-sized beds on futon frames that convert to couches; full-sized, stainless steel, double kitchen sink; dorm fridge; microwave; open cedar shelving; cedar-lined closet; and a lockable pocket door into the bathroom. No stove, as we never used it. I moved the bathroom wall forward to fit a man-sized shower, full sink and a large porta-potti. I removed the black water tank. (I found the porta-potti more convenient than a permanently-mounted tank.) The camper never had a gray tank, so I either routed the gray water to the campsite drain or captured it in a portable tank with wheels. (Portable tank is included with the camper.)
I began a bathroom renovation and have re-sheeted the bathroom walls and ceiling in aluminum. I purchased a copper sink and faucet, a shower and shower fixture, but they need to be installed. I did some structural reinforcement around the front door that can be seen from the outside (see next-to-last photo). Further attention is needed for front door leaks and the floor structure at the door (see last photo). All glass windows were replaced with Lexan and are sealed shut. (I admit that my tinting job could have been better.)
The previous owner had towed the camper with full black tanks, which bent the frame slightly at the back. I have towed it for 20 years this way, with a 1/2-ton, small-block Suburban and never had any issues keeping up with or handling traffic (no sway bars or load-levelers needed).
Sold with linens, appliances, dishes, miscellaneous items (toaster, alarm clock, portable Coleman camping stove, toilet paper, etc.) and as is. Happy camping. .
