Vehicle description
1967 Piper Cherokee 140 cruiser with fresh $10k super annual inspection this plane was a barn find to begin with it has only 2900 ttaf with 900 smoh on the orig engine it came with from the factory in 1967. It has the original paint and the orig interior that came on it in 1967 it is in absolute amazing condition. i searched high and i searched low for a airplane like this for my daughter that wanted to learn to fly and i came across this plane by chance. It was sitting in a hanger untouched for over 10 years like it was in a time capsule. Just to find a lil 140 like this with these orig times is amazing enough but to have it in such pristine orig condition was even better. So i bought it and had a friend whom is a very exp a&p AI go thru the plane with a fine tooth comb and he put countless hours in going thru every system every nuck and cranny of this plane has been inspected and logged in the log books since it had"nt been annualed for over 10 years. the engine was completely inspected for any issues like corrosion or pitting ect. . .and ground run everything from the spark plug"s to the magneto"s was inspected and replaced mags and coupler and wires and spark plugs are all new not rebuilt. new oil and filters vacuum pump o-rings engine mounts and anything rubber was replaced and i mean everything. all the guages were tested and cleaned and replaced by factory orig equipment new. tires tubes landing gear rebuilt gas tanks were r&r as well as sending units were replaced so the fuel guages are accurite. glass is in perfect condition and all radios and transponder and adf ect. . . fully funtional to factory specs AND NEW ADS-B out and in being installed right now! ! yeah the newest old cherokee you can buy with years of worry free flying. so we flew the bird all the way across the united states from new jersey to Arizona and didn"t so much as burn a drop of oil AMAZING and i got 8.3 gallons an hour fuel burn. after all of this and a few months getting the plane up to speed and delivered here in Arizona my daughter decided flying was"nt for her as she was use to flying with me in my Beechcraft Duke so she got spoiled and did"nt want to fly a smaller plane and she cant train in my Duke so i no longer have a need for the airplane and as bad as i would love to keep it i cant afford to own 2 planes. I spent a ton of money on this plane to make it perfect for her so one of these planes has to go. I have all orig log books since new and great maintance records for quad 3 whiskey. There are no rips or tears or any stains in the fabric and the plastic is in amazing condition with bright color and no fading or cracking that you find in other older planes. This plane does"nt have a hodge podge of different colored panels and seats and so forth that you find on most planes it is true to its origin and you will not be disappointed. This plane is for sale locally and i reserve the right to cancel auction at my discretion
