INTRODUCTION:
Hello! Offered for sale is my 1967 vintage Crown School Bus. This particular Crown is now very rare and holds a special title: It"s the oldest three axle "Tandem" in existence that still has the original seats and is operational. So it"s really now one of a kind! It even still has the original Crown "smell" inside. I have owned this bus for 6 and a half years and I still love it. This bus has been well taken care of it"s entire life and it shows. It has never left me stranded. I have had recent work done to it which I outline below. I"m only selling due to financial reasons. Now it"s ready to be passed on to a new loving home!
VIDEO:
* There is a video of this bus running on Youtube that I made a few years ago. Once on Youtube, Search for "1967 Three Axle Crown Walk A Round," and it should come right up.*
HISTORY:
This bus was delivered new to Sweetwater Union High School District (San Diego, Ca.) in July, 1967. After it"s initial career there, it went to a charter bus company up in the Los Angeles area for several years. It then served another term of service with Western Christian Schools; where the same driver drove the bus there for 20 more years. I bought it in early 2015.
FEATURES:
This Crown features amidship Cummins 220 pancake diesel engine with turbo and a 5 speed manual transmission. It is a twin screw and has a Williams exhaust brake. Exterior body is virtually dent-free. The interior is all original except for the steering wheel that was replaced at some point. The interior ceiling has been re-painted and none of the seats have any rips in them. All the glass is intact with no cracks or breaks. Also has a driver"s fan, both a regular horn and an air horn, and working interior and exterior lights. The "cross-over" red flashing lights still work as well. It also has a huge trunk in the rear as well as side compartments for storage. Batteries and tires are still in good condition, and there are no detectable air leaks. It also features a battery shut off switch and an air dryer; both of which I added after I bought it. One side compartment contains a spare tire. Bus has very little rust.

FINAL DETAILS:
