Vehicle description

Up for auction is a 1966 Tucker Sno Cat model 442. This Vintage Tucker Sno Cat has a flathead 6 cyl with a 4 speed transmission. It is also equipped with a later model track conversion which makes for better climbing ability and less maintenance. These vintage Tucker Sno cats are now becoming very popular once again and this would make a great cat for uses such as off grid cabin access or just to have it to go out on weekends for some fun. It would also be a great piece of advertisement for a ski shop/winter business. I have a couple of cats that I personally use and I had this cat sitting around so I decided to go through it so my brother had something to use at some of the outings/events that I would attend. Since then, my brother has decided to move out of the area and therefore I will not have any use for it and I currently don’t have the space to store it. About two years ago we stripped this cat down and did an overhaul to get this cat looking good and functional again. During this process the engine was completely torn down and rebuilt at a reputable machine shop. A new clutch was also installed. The tracks were also gone through including replacing all rubber track belts. Rear decking and rails are made from sealed cedar. It also got sprayed with new paint. Although this cat is in very nice condition, keep in mind that it is a piece of equipment, and not a show car. Therefore due to the nature of a sno cat and aggressive tracks the bodies do vibrate and flex which cause small paint cracks in the joints. It has some small cracks but that is to be expected… these cats were built very rigid and the bodies do flex which do cause small cracks in the joints… all common. With that being said, this cat is still probably one of the nicest old sno cats that you will find for sale. This cat has only been to a few outings/events since it has been overhauled. This cat has been doing more sitting than playing. Hopefully it can find a new owner that can put it to good use. This machine is up on all maintenance and ready to use. I have a lot of time and money invested into this machine. This auction does have a low reserve compared to what I have invested. This machine is being sold as is.
