Vehicle description
This listing is for a 1966 Ford N600 Grain/Dump Truck.
This was purchased mostly to sit outside our Antique business in Indianapolis, Indiana. We have thrown money at it to get it road worthy. It"s been a very fun project. We get lots of admirers.
It"s got new Brakes, Lines, hydrovac, Heads rebuilt, new head gaskets, new exhaust, petronix electronic ignition, new carburetors, spin on oil conversion. Has a new water pump, new steer tires on front. 9" x 20". Ford 330 Hd motor, not a Fe motor is what we understand.
Runs Great, Stops Great but your have to pump the brakes when you first start it up. The cab has rust, as well as the frame. The dump bed works but bleeds off slowly. The bed has sheet metal screwed to deck. Headlights and wipers work, cracked driver side window. Heater core needs replaced or repaired, bypassed it. This truck does about 50 mph and gets maybe 5 to 6 per gallon. I would recommend heavy equipment trailer or semi towing company. Asking price is based on what we put into it.
Fenders had rusted at the bottom where the mounting/stabilizer was. They"ve been removed to have rust removed new metal welded. They have since been put back on the truck.
Finish this project or use it as is.
Thanks for looking!
