Vehicle description
NO RESERVE! ONLY 5 Day Auction! Serious Buyers Only Please. Rare opportunity to purchase this 3 Owner Cream Puff Camper With 64K Original Miles. 1966 Chevy C30 Factory Motor home With The "Open Road" Camper. NO Smells or Moisture Inside!
Has the original 327ci. V8 and 4sp. manual transmission. Runs and drives. We drove home on an hour long trip and cruised at 65-70mph with no issues. Roof was resealed by previous owner and it was stored undercover the majority of the time and is in nice condition for its age. Camper portion in nice original condition with only minor dings/imperfections that would be expected of a 51yr old RV. Pride in ownership shows with this one. By the time we went to make reservations at a couple of our favorite campgrounds in March all spots had been reserved and we haven"t had the opportunity to use. Just so it wouldn"t sit we cruised into town a few times and even made a Costco shopping trip with it (coolest grocery getter around!)! Engine is extremely strong and runs so smooth like when it drove off the lot in 1966. It could benefit from a tune up/ carb rebuild but we have been using it regardless but I would recommend before taking a long distance. With that completed I wouldn"t be afraid to drive this motor home across the U.S, it has been that reliable. Manual steering and power drum brakes. No oil leaks or burning oil. Shifts well and is really easy to drive/manuever due to the fact it is only 20ft in length (bumper-bumper). Interior in cab is in very nice original condition which is another indicator of the low original miles.
I have a small collection of classic cars and really wanted to keep this one for the shows & swap meets but we recently purchased a new "Vintage Cruiser" Travel Trailer made by Gulfstream which gives us the vintage style we like and it doesn"t make sense for us to insure/store both when we can only camp in one at a time. This 1966 draws attention everywhere you take it and its all original which makes it even cooler. This model is self contained and has its own bathroom with a toilet. I have not had a chance to go through any of the systems but told they work by previous owner who used it several times a year. Everything appears to be complete with all of the systems. Throughout the years it has been well cared for and you won"t smell any foul odors/water damage that occurs on the majority of vintage campers, this one is very clean and ready to use. Currently has collector plates so no tabs required and clean title in my name. No sagging or warping of interior panels which shows NO issues of previous or current water damage. Buyer is responsible for all shipping/handling costs. I know it takes time to make arrangements so I can store up to 4 Months free of charge for buyer while this is being handled. A $1,000 non refundable deposit is due within 24hrs of auction end via PayPal and the remainder of funds are due within 3 days of auction end via bank wire transfer. Vehicle comes in "as-is" condition no warranty written or implied. My listings are lengthy but I try to be very detailed with my listings and describe to the best of my knowledge. I was told I am the third owner and mileage of 64,048 is believed to be original and shows as if it is. I am an established member of eBay with 100% positive feedback including classic vehicle sales. I have the right to end auction early at anytime. I watched one of these sell for $6,150 on here in May of 2016 with extensive water damage (I saved the page for this auction if anyone would like to preview) These vintage campers have been increasing in value and popularity. You will get thumbs up and smiles everywhere you cruise this! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Good luck Bidding!
