Vehicle description

1966 Streamline Countess Travel Trailer
Aluminum Vintage Trailer
This trailer is pretty much gutted and ready for a rebuild in your image. This trailer has a beautiful vintage look and built by Streamline. In 1957 two Airstream designers, Harry Lovett and Pat Patterson, broke off to form their own trailer manufacturer in El Monte, California, Streamline. They opened their new 21,000 square-foot facility at 10840 Central Avenue and started tweaking the designs of Airstream. Using similar construction methods consisting of riveted aluminum airplane construction.
I have a baby on the way and no time for a project like this, so I"m passing it on to someone that can show her some love. This trailer has very solid bones with a great vintage look. It has a full aluminum belly. The interior is also lined with an aluminum ceiling and down most of the walls. It"s not perfect by far and is a project (dents, dings, scrapes, scratches, interior pulled out) and will need your love, but it is a wonderful start. It"s amazing what people are doing with these trailers, just check out the pictures online!
I towed it 50 miles to where it sits now, but I"d suggest new tires and getting the hubs serviced (although they didn"t warm up) if you"re towing it much further. Trailer lights and brakes work with an updated 7 way plug. If you"re in the area, feel free to come by and take a look.
It"s 26 ft long, which is a great length that balances enough room to build out a nice design and yet small enough to easily tow and get into most spots.
This is a Streamline trailer, not an Airstream. More pictures available upon request.
The front window shroud recently blew off in a wind storm and was damaged, see the last couple pictures.
Title in hand. Relisted due to non-paying bidder.
