1965 GM PD4106 BUS, VINTAGE RV, CLASSIC COACH CONVERSION, AUTOMATIC
I"ve had a number of calls from interested parties, but nobody wants to drive through the bad weather hitting most of the country. I can wait out the weather. Keep calling and asking questions. Thank you.
This 1965 GM PD-4106 is a Classic Coach Conversion is built for extended travel or full time on-board living. It is powered by an 8V71 Detroit Diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission; a strong machine and built to last. This vintage coach is 35 feet in length, sleeps 2 comfortably but has room for 4 if you add a bed in the parlor. It has propane, water storage, gray water storage, and two roof air conditioners. This diesel is known as a hill climber. It has had everything mechanical meticulously inspected and has been repaired as needed. In addition, we replaced the rear driver"s side suspension airbag and the rubber on the bay doors. All the switches on the control panel by the drivers" seat have been checked and replaced as needed. Boarding the bus and facing the rear, two captain’s chairs are on the right side to create the main seating area. Across from them is space to use as you like. You could have a sofa or a TV/entertainment center here; or create an office in this space. The dinette and large RV refrigerator are on the left side, facing the kitchen sink and microwave. The shower is larger than the standard RV size. The sleeping quarters are in the rear . It has a new 8 D battery to run the mechanics of the coach and there are 2 4D batteries to run the interior household power. Minor work needed in kitchen:
1. A small area of paneling needs to be reattached as it has come off the wall. 2. 1 cabinet door is missing and needs to be replaced. 3. 2 drawers are gone and need to be replaced. Before taking a long trip I recommend replacing the tires as they are about 10 years old. They are all currently holding air.
I have both the original GM Manual and a digital copy on DVD. Come see this rig and drive it home. I don"t travel anymore and have no place to store the bus.
