Vehicle description
1964 Serro Scotty Sportsman Hilander (Incomplete Restore) 93” high 172” (14.3 ft) long 78” wide
A very rare model. We picked this up as an incomplete restoration project. Our family has grown however, and it is no longer practical for us. Trailer and items listed below are for sale AS IS. Buyer is responsible for retrieval or shipment. We possess and are prepared to transfer title and registration.
I have pulled this trailer about 100 miles and it tows straight and smooth.
What has been done so far: Stripped down to frame. Frame has been sand blasted and coated with a heavy duty protectant. Bearings regressed and repacked All new wooden floor and sides. Floors have been tiled. Internal walls are birch finished plywood Insulated Vapor shield (thick plastic) coating between insulation and exterior aluminum Water tight conduit installed to run wire throughout the trailer from a centralized breaker/fuse box All new bed and upper bunk All new sink cabinetry (incomplete) All new dinette (with original table) with upholstered cushions. Converts to a bed Beginnings of a bathroom Most windows tinted and installed 12v lights and switches installed Original aluminum sides, all new aluminum along the front, top and back. (One solid length of aluminum, as the originals were segmented and known to leak Painted with hardened automotive enamel in original Serro Scotty colors All new door lock mechanism with keys All new screen for screen door Towing lights installed (brakes, blinkers, running lights)
What is still needed: Cabinetry 120v wiring Completed bathroom Two remaining windows to be installed Finishing work on interior Sewer hookups for bathroom holding tank Water pump Gas lines One or two replacement window crank mechanisms (easily found at Vintage Trailer Supply)
What is included: Original gas stove/oven (with stove racks) Original sink Pre-built cabinet doors and drawers for under and over the sink. 120v microwave 120v refrigerator 120v air conditioning unit Brand new toilet Brand new shower pan and toilet holding tank All new cushions for beds and dinette Parts for remaining windows Spare tire Many miscellaneous items from original trailer - including 120v lights - in varying states of repair or disrepair Many miscellaneous raw construction materials Jack stands
