Vehicle description

We are reluctantly selling this 1963 Yellowstone canned ham style travel trailer. We knew we wanted to restore this one the day we brought it home but the plans have changed and someone else will have the chance to make it their own.
We loved the cabin feel of this one with all of the birch wood interior. It has a very open feel for such a short camper. The camper itself is 14 feet long and 7 feet wide. 16" including the bumper and hitch. It weighs approximately 1800lbs. Inside height is a very spacious 6"2" and rises to 6"6" above the dinette. We also loved the fact that the floor is solid from tip to tail and everything in between, solid, solid, solid. The floor is the most difficult parts of restoring any travel trailer so that is why we wanted to keep it. It has a bathroom with a flush toilet AND a large wardrobe closet. You don"t have to compromise with this one. No critters, mold or bad smells either.
The electricity all works and we individually tested the original gas stove, fridge, gas lamps (it has three!) and they all worked. The fridge and oven look like they have never really been used. We have the gas lines disconnected and we recommend they be hooked up by a professional to be safe. The bottles are not included as they are out of date and can not be filled. There is a bathroom with toilet and a faucet sink in the kitchen. The plumbing has a combination of copper and rubber and will need to be checked over for leaks, all very accessible and easy to work on. It has city water hookup and a pressurized water tank/filler (untested).
Most of the birch is in great condition, due to the previous owner re-applying shellac when needed. They were not careful though, and did get drips of shellac onto the original linoleum tiles here and there so you may want to replace it (it is dull and brittle). There are areas of damage to the paneling which I have posted detailed pictures of. The previous owners did patch some while leaving others. We have kept it covered and the previous owners did too. We were told that the damage was caused from snow and ice load but the trailer will need to be re-sealed as the old sealant looks dry and shrunken from age.
It has had a few different paint jobs over the years on the skin and plenty of love dents and dings too. I posted close ups of the worst of them and I am happy to provide any additional photos that you might want (the 24 eBay provides is not enough). The door is functional but in rough shape and could be rebuilt. The handle is half broken off on the outside but still functions in the open and shut positions. Jalousie windows all have the original cranks that say "Jalousie of Ohio" on each one. Windows will need work to the mechanisms and some glass missing or broken (all parts still available for these). It does have breaks but they are not connected and we did not use them or the running lights (we used a set of magnetic lights). The new owner should change out some of the lenses and bulbs and fixtures where needed. These are also very accessible parts on internet stores like Vintage Trailer Supply or Vintage Trailer Shop.
Sold with a bill of sale only, no title needed in our state due to age (check with your own DMV). Immediate deposit of 500.00 due at the end of the auction and is non-refundable. We are happy to answer any and all questions. Delivery may be an option if paid in full and we agreed on terms before the end of auction. Otherwise, UShip is a great resource for shipping quotes and we have always had wonderful service through the site. We welcome anyone who would like to come and see the camper in person.
