Vehicle description
This is a 1962 Airstream Bambi 16 foot.
This Bambi was only produced for three years. I have no idea how many may still exist, but it will be a unique travel companion.
The most recognizable exterior aspect of the original Bambi is the rear end, with its tiny window. Second of three years for the popular Bambi. A total of about 1100 Bambi’s were made. The Bambi is one of the most popular of all the Airstreams, owing to its diminutive size, cute factor, the fact it was totally self-contained (except for gray water), with a very livable layout for two people and was ideal for weekend trips.
This Bambi is very close to original, door latch/lock and AC unit have been replaced. Wall panel upon entering to left has been replaced, but from another vintage trailer, so it matches.
The last three pictures show a small repair spot to the left of the door on the outside, one broken light lens cover on the top front, and a reflector cover on the side. Everything else is in good shape, especially for a 1962.
This trailer is for local pick up only. Trailer is located in Gainesville Florida area. It may be seem by arrangement, email [email protected].
