Vehicle description

1960 Crown Coach School Bus 220 Cummins Diesel, 5 speed Spicer manual transmission. Bus has sat for many years, and things will need attention. Please see below. -Originally owned and operated by Escondido Union High School District Unit #21 -All filters, coolant, oil have been changed. New oil lines installed. . but here"s the issue; bus is pushing out too much oil pressure which is causing the oil filter to blow off within 30 seconds of starting. I took apart the oil pressure relief valve, cleaned, and reinstalled, yet the issue is still happening. Could the frozen air compressor cause this? I don"t know. Engine does sound strong when running. Not much smoke out tailpipe on startup. -Will need two batteries (uses group size 8D) -missing battery panel is inside bus. Will need a new piano hinge to remount. -bus has 2 completely broken out windows and 3 cracked or shatter windows. One is the fixed door lower window, the others are passenger sliders. I believe I may have a replacement glass panel for front door with rubber trim in my shop. I don"t have any more sliders in stock. Windows can be pulled and sent out to glass shop. Windshields are excellent. -Air compressor part Bendix Tu-Flo 500 (readily available on the market) is frozen. I did pull it after taking photos and have it soaking in 50/50 ATF/Acetone mixture to try and free it up. If no avail, it will need replacement. We did cut the pulley belts to run it. I do have a new set of belts for it. -Brakes worked great with portable compressor hooked up. -Some of the electrical switches on dash are bad. May just need connections cleaned after sitting. -Straight aluminum body. Rust is limited to lower bottom strip below engine compartment door. -Pretty much all original, other than the seats have been removed. -I will allow buyer to work on bus on property if they feel they can repair it enough to drive home. -We did recently repaint the roof with a new coat of white paint. -With a little bit of work, you could have a very nice vintage Crown bus. -Easy access for big rig tow or lowboy tow if you plan to tow it. -No reserve 5 day auction. What it sells for is what it sells for. -Bus is being sold with a bill of sale only. No title. It has been dropped from the Calif DMV system for many years now. -If you have a feedback score of less than 5, you will need to contact me in order for your bid to be considered. -$100 deposit req"d within 24 hours of auction closing. -Located in Burney, CA
