Up for bids is this 1959 Oshkosh W-1700 4x4 truck. It used to be a snow blower for the USMC and stationed at Camp Pendleton, Ca. The previous owner removed the snow blower from the front and the motor that ran the snow blower that was mounted on the rear of the truck. It has a Hercules 528ci inline 6 cylinder gas motor with only 37, 600 miles on the odometer. The truck was running a couple of years ago, but the carburetor needed to be rebuilt. I took the carburetor to a mechanic shop to rebuild it, but they lost the carburetor! I was told by a carburetor shop that a newer 2 barrel carb from a 302 Ford engine with the same CFM would work with an adapter. That is the only mechanical issue with the truck. Would be a great work truck for someone with a lot of property or maybe an off-road recovery vehicle. Make it into something you need? Sold with bill of sale. No reserve auction! !
