Vintage Base Camp has restored a 1959 Globester 18’ Airstream. This trailer is titled as a 1958 Traveler 18’ Airstream, but from my extensive research and background with these models, I know that it has been mistitled. This trailer is actually a 1959 Globester. This trailer will be sold with a good Tennessee title and a bill of sale. The trailer was restored by Vintage Base Camp in Louisville, Kentucky; 100’s of shop hours went in to this project. It would make a great little trailer for someone. Sold with the trailer is 95% of the original interior, which has not been restored. Not shown in the pictures but included are the original Stove/oven (untested), refrigrator (working tested), sink and toilet (untested). The interior was dismantled before Vintage Base Camp acquired the trailer, and we decided not install the interior letting the next owner make that choice. Our company can always assist with an estimate for finishing the interior to suit any needs or dreams. Right now, the trailer is a ready to go! It can be used for anything; camping, glamping, retail, VIP lounge, office or Airbnb. This project was stripped down to the frame and built back. Everything you see in the trailer has been rebuilt or restored. This is like a new trailer. · The frame was cleaned and painted with POR-15. · Two frame out riggers were replaced and frame under the main door was rebuilt and reinforced · All new 5/8 plywood (front to back.) · Floor was insulated · The axle was removed, stripped, and painted with POR-15. · New electric backing plates and updated drums. · Bearings repacked. · Two new leaf springs with new shackle bolts · 3 wheels cleaned, repainted, and balanced · 3 new Lowboy 14.5 tires · 3 new baby-moon hubcaps · New lug nuts · Belly pan dropped and re-riveted and Tempro-ed/sealed · Wheel wells sealed and painted · Interior skin was removed and pressure washed · All new 110V wiring and new 30amp fuse box · All New outlet inside and outside · 2 New-old stock light fixtures · 20amp wiring was ran to the ceiling vent location for a future AC · Walls have new Reflective foil insulation · Interior walls/skin primed/patched and painted · Both exterior hatches have been rebuilt, new weather stripping and locks · Ceiling vent was rebuilt · Main door has new weather stripping (inner and outer doors) · New main door lock · New inner door latches and screen · New main door latch and bumper · Windows were removed and completely rebuild, new weather stripping, new gaskets, new glass, polished, new screens, cranks and latches rebuilt or refabricated, painted and cleaned · New floor underlayment installed over the 5/8 plywood · New VCT tiles and sealed with “i shine” · New 7way terminal box · New 7way wiring and plug · New propane tank hanger installed · New tongue jack · Two new rear stabilizer · All new LED marker lights from VTS · New VTS Tail lights · New VTS Airstream badge · Rebuilt/ restored License plate light and hanger · Trailer was seam sealed · Newly polished exterior · All drip caps were removed and polished · New vin tag plate from VTS If this trailer is sold to an overseas buyer and wish keep the interior parts they will need to be packed for shipping, there will be additional cost. I will not just place the interior parts loosely in the trailer with out the parts being wrapped and packed for transporting. If the new owner does not want the interior parts they can be left with me for disposal. I will sell to overseas buyers, you are responsible for all shipping and handling with shipping carriers and shipping agents. Upon the close of bidding a non-refundable deposit of $5,000 is due by wire transfer with the balance within three days in the same manner.
