Vehicle description
1957 Serro 16" camper. This was built in John Serros barn in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. This was prototype camper that he built to take to shows in Elkhart, IN before he started his well known business “Scotty Serro”. There is only 1 other model of this camper know to exist, which is located at Scottyland Campground. I recently visited scottyland, which is where I discovered all the old photos of what we are believed to be the actual photos of this camper (which the other campers were slightly different). This camper is in overall good condition, was stored inside for the past few decades, which helped preserve it. The camper is in no means perfect and does show some wear and flaws due to age which most campers this age will have. It was used every summer until a few years ago. I would love to keep it, but I do not have the means of putting the camper to the condition that it deserves. I would love to see it restored and in a museum where it deserves. The camper is being sold as-is and is nonrefundable. You are bidding to buy. I will gladly answer any questions. I have plenty of other photos of the camper from when it was first built and have talked to many Serro Scotty enthusiasts, it is a amazing piece of history for anyone into Serro Scotty campers!
