Vehicle description
1955 Vintage Airstream Bubble Whale Tail 16 feet 1750 pounds
When Eisenhower was President, and Elvis did his first television show, Our “1955” Airstream with a low Vin #233 was one of a small amount made . We kept it original, and did the allowable restoration to keep comfortable and safe. We were told that In the late 1960’s “The Beach Boys” had this Airstream. It was also used in the original episodes of "Charlie"s Angels" with Farrah Fawcett.
This has been polished. It has a brand new Airstream mattress, new maple wood cabinets, new electrical and plumbing, a new axle and bearings, a dinette that turns into a second bed, a huge couch with new upholstery, new curtains, a mahogany wood floor, a new two way refrigerator, plenty of storage space with a wardrobe, a new toilet, an awning, screens and a screen door, a Princess stove, countertops and so much more. It is totally ready to be towed long distances. Pull it with almost any car. We even have a spare and keys for this tiny home on wheels for a family of four plus.
One could go out and buy a new one with all the bells and whistles, but drive it off the lot and you lose your $85,000 plus investment due to depreciation. All the small vintage ones are going to Europe like our Classic Cars and appreciating. They are also made better.
Simply, work does not allow us the time to enjoy it, so it is time to take a write-off and pay it forward. We can refer a transporter if desired and will also work with International buyers.
We have had 100% positive feedback since 1999. Some of the props do not go with the trailer, but the cushions, curtains and some of the pillows do. The rare California Trailer Plate would be a separate purchase if desired. Upon the close of bidding, a non-refundable deposit of $7500 is due by wire transfer with the balance within three days.
