Vehicle description
1954 M38A1 army Jeep. I bought this in 2011 from the family who"s grandfather got it from the civil defense. In 2011 i put a new headlights, new gas tank, fuel pump and carb on itthis year we rebuilt the transmission and transfer case using NOS parts. New tires, leaf springs and shackles, exhaust, oil pressure gauge, master cylinder and wheel cylinders, parking brake, and a few other minor things, Jeep is in excellent original condition considering it"s age, it does have a rust spot on the right side where most of these jeeps rust, has some dent"s and dings but nothing major. The paint is original and was painted very thick and probably multiple times, the lettering and stars are original and where painted over when i got it. The people i got it from had the motor rebuilt and it runs excellent with good oil pressure and it does not smoke. The transmission is nice and tight after it"s rebuild and has less the ten miles on it.Overall a excellent Jeep that is a true survivor, although the blue, yellow, and silver paint was done by the civil defense it is a part of this vehicles government service. (still has the civil defense stickers on it also) Payment by Paypal, postal money orders, cash in hand. $500 paypal deposit required. Seller is responsible for shipping. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Has a clean Missouri title. Thank you.
