Vehicle description
I"m selling my unrestored 1952 Spartanette. 30ft long. Needs work, but the "bones" are in pretty good shape. I originally bought it to be converted into a guest house on our property. I have detailed estimates from a north bay rv shop of the work and $ necessary. Restore back to its original glory as a tow behind or alter like we planned to use as a guest/play house. The Spartanettes are highly sought after for their aircraft design. Located in Napa County, Northern CA. No text. On Jun-24-17 at 09:04:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I added more photos and can offer more if you call me and let me know what you would like to see (707)280-8305. A few questions have been asked about the condition. . It all depends on what you want to do with the trailer. If you want to use it as an RV and tow it, you"ll need to start with the tires and bearings and begin from the ground up. It is towable now, although I wouldn"t go any great distance with the tires it has on it. The interior needs a complete going through and cabinets re-finished or replaced. The skin is in pretty good condition. .but again, how perfect do you want it? The rub rails are hard to come by, and the ones on this one are largely in good shape (save for a couple of places noted in the photos). I bought this and sold my old Spartan "project" because the skin on this one was in way better shape than my other one and I felt like I was already money ahead starting with tho one. I do not have a title so a bill of sale will have to suffice. This trailer has no working electrical so you will need a light board to move it (I hung one off the back and ran the wires all the way to the hitch on my truck.) The birch paneling inside is savable in many places, and in some will need replacing. The floor feels pretty solid. The doors will need new latches and some adjusting to get them to close properly. Again, I am happy to answer any questions with a phone call. I do not do text. Thank you. On Jun-27-17 at 10:36:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked a question about how water tight it is and that had me looking at where the leaks are. I count a total of 4 broken windows. On the paneling around 3 of those there is discoloration on the bottom panel where rain has blown in. No rot that I can see - I believe those panels to be savable. On the 4th broken window - the rear window - there is rot on the bottom and that would need to be changed. One roof vent is missing. The floor below that vent, which obviously has gotten wet, feels firm and I cannot tell any difference between that floor section and the rest. All in all, the closer I looked at the birch paneling, the more I was surprised as to the condition. Save for the back panel around the rear window, I think most/all of it can be used. Same goes for the cabinetry. Other questions that have come up: No fridge. No heater. At the bare minimum I would assume the trailer needs to be completely re-wired for electricity.
