Vehicle description
This unique tiny canned ham camper has nostalgia written all over it.Very rare and for the serious collector restorer. Its small 12" living quarters features a dinette area in the front with what looks like the original seat cushions. The table comes down and turns into a bed.The rear has a bed for 2 and a bunk bed above it for one person.plenty of cabinets and storage spaces, there is no bathroom. The flooring is all solid. This relic is so old it has no electrical outlets. The year of it is unknown due to no paperwork /title/registration. It is very old , possibly early 1940"s-1950"s.There are numbers on the tongue that do come up on google as patent numbers dating 1939 (the numbers are in the pictures to look up yourself) .". The campers total length is 14" and came with only one centered tail light and you can tell the others were added later. The inside is very interesting with a dainty little LP gas heater made by Martin model no. 40. that resembles a wood stove and a 3 burner cast iron Autocrat stove top model 32-T made by The Auto Stove Works CO. It has a gas light made by Humphrey General gas light co. All the windows are there with screens and Woodlin cranks and the one window at the rear has a small crack in the glass. The Bargeman door handle works but their are no keys.the wood inside this camper is plywood not birch paneling.Their is a pump style faucet with a water tank mounted under the bed and a porcelain style/glass Zell fuse fixture going to 2 electric lights that looks to have been added at a later time. The tires do hold air,the tires on it are not the original ones but i do have the 2 - 15" (6 lug) rims and baby moon style hubcaps that belong to it. Camper is solid enough to be towed with a working ball lock and coupler/safety chains. Taillights need replacing ,you could bring some magnetic taillight/blinkers so it could be towed .I can not find any campers similar to this online,, it has the name "Wanderer" across the top of the front but Im not sure if that"s what it is or if someone painted that on.The frame is in good condition. The ceiling plywood looks like it will need some work but still has strength.the pictures show a bad spot in the ceiling vent area where it had a leak at one time,I have the vent fixture that is not shown and that is in good condition.I have a lot of additional pictures and will answer any questions if needed. This camper needs to be brought back to its original condition ,it is rare and one of a kind for that retired couple/or happy camper to enjoy and pull it around behind that old pickup or station wagon to those tin can tourist campground events.Once again the year is not 1950,it is unknown.
