Vehicle description
Mack A50 truck that was originally a dump truck, dump body included. The truck currently has a large Samson backhoe mounted to it with it"s own 4 cyl. Continental gas engine. The truck has a 6 cyl. gas Mack Thermodyne engine. Both engines run. The truck drives and has brakes (air). The pictures look better than the truck as it needs restoration, but what a candidate! This truck is one of 3319 A50"s and how many could be left! The truck is from one family ownership from new! Manual included! Truck sold with bill of sale only as papers are lost. It is a 1950-1953, we are unsure of exact year. Auxiliary gas tank is shared by backhoe and truck, original truck gas tank is included. The fuel pump in the truck failed and so it is now a gravity system, but it works. The truck was originally a tractor and the dump body (which is also included, 9", was installed shortly after it was purchased new) is also included. 11/22 tires on rear, and 10/20 tires on front as the truck was ordered with the largest rear end available at the time. Some rust. Listing for a friend, call Frank at for specifics. Truck is located in Prospect, Ct. 06712. Bank wire transfers, cash, or checks once they clear.
