Vehicle description

1950 ANDERSON TRAVEL TRAILER This is a rare 69 year old travel trailer in exceptional survivor condition. I purchased this from a lady who had lived in it for 27 years in Bozeman, MT and had originally brought it up from Wyoming. The trailer is an Anderson make. It has one rear bedroom, large living room/dining area, full bathroom, full kitchen. These were considered very well made and sturdy travel trailers. It pulls perfectly. These older trailers are rarely as complete and as good of condition as this one is. The roof is in good shape but there’s a leak in the rear bedroom area that will have to be addressed. The interior birch paneling and cabinets are in very nice shape. Below are specific details on this time capsule. This would make a great camper, or a nice airbnb rental. Thanks and happy bidding. Feel free to ask questions and I have more pics I can send. INTERIOR The inside of the trailer is very nice for an unrestored camper. The paneling and cabinets are in pretty good shape. There are spots of paneling inside that needs minor repair. The ceiling wood is in generally good shape with the exception of the rear bedroom leak area.
The cabinets are all in nice shape but could use some sprucing up. I have all the cabinet doors that the lady had removed. The kitchen table comes with two matching leaves to extend it. Some of the cabinet latches work great and some will need to be replaced. There is a divider pocket door that separates the kitchen from the bedroom area. I have many more pics I can send. A couple of the windows do need work on the crank mechanism. All the glass is good. Easy repairs. Flooring/carpet should be redone. There is carpet in the living room, with linoleum under it. I"m not sure if the linoleum is original. Most of the counters are in good shape. .the kitchen sink will need some attention. Overall, the inside will be usable with little work, or a great start for an easy restoration. ELECTRICAL The trailer has original wiring going to the appliances. All the wiring works. I would recommend new electrical.
This trailer has the original vertically standing propane heater. It pumps out some serious heat, and warms the trailer in minutes. It not only has the original heater, but also the original Fridge. The hot water heater works.
EXTERIOR The exterior is in really nice shape. There are a number of small hail marks. No dents or damaged siding other than the front near the hitch (pictured), though some attention will be required there.
The trailer frame and floor supports are in nice shape with no rust. The trailer will need new lights/wiring to be modern and legal. This only had one tail light when it was new, and no turn signals. I never tried the brakes but it does have electric brakes. The tires are holding air. All wheels match. Original style 6-lug wheels.
NOTE I am not an expert on vintage campers but this trailer has very good bones and is worth restoring.
