Vehicle description
This is a 1949 Tourette Teardrop which is ALL Aluminum body. The body does have dents and some yellow paint spots on it (will come over with thinner). The previous owner replaced the floor under body and rewired the lights. Since we have owned it we have replaced the hinge to the back because the original one leaked- -now it does not leak. Rear handle to kitchen needs some work. . it locks but needs to be attached better. We removed the original ice box because it was total rotted out. Excellent space for a cooler or a vintage Coleman upright cooler. We also repainted the rear kitchen in red and gray.
On the inside there is a shelf for storage. Both doors are functional and have original door latches and handles. The original wood around the windows and screens are there but could to be replaced. Inside we have 2 hospital stretcher pads I got from work. We cut them to fit the inside contour of the floor and are very comfortable.
Wheels are 16 inch with Firestone period correct tires. Camper is very light probably less then 1000 lbs. One person can pick up the tongue and put on hitch when needed. Frame is in great shape. .no rotten areas just surface rust.

Inside: weight is 57 inches length is 78 inches height is 43 inches - - my 6 ft husband can sit up inside of it.
We have utilized this camper behind our 1952 Ford pickup at car shows and it draws a lot of attention. ITS IS READY TO GO CAMPING AS SOON AS YOU GET IT.
Camper has a NYS 2012 homemade Transferable Registration.
