I am not certain on the year but believe its from around 1948 built with aluminum by Spartan Aircraft Trailer. The company was making airplanes and ended up making trailers after.
This trailer was pulled to my farm from about an hour and fifteen minutes away 3 months ago when I purchased it. I gutted the entire trailer it is 100% empty on the inside no walls plumbing and the electrical should not be trusted needs to be replaced. I used it as a chicken house for outdoor free range chickens to be able to sleep inside at night. The bottom floor has several inches of pine bedding shaves. Floor is thin wood with hole and the metal frames. Size is estimate
This is a great project RV. The exterior is in very good condition with minimal rust. Please see the photos for reference. We can do a iphone video call if you would like to see it further.
The tires I checked them today 7/24/2018 and they are very firm and full of air. The front of the trailer fell off of a concrete block that I had. We will need to jack it off the ground to be able to attach it to your truck. You need a 4x4 truck to be able to remove the RV off my property. The tires sunk a little bit into the ground or from rain the tires are covered in a little bit of dirt. I have a 1/2 ton truck and it was very easy with my 4x4 to move this trailer from where it was in deep sand so hopefully you have same or larger truck if not rent one.
The doors lock on their own.
