The Real McCoy ! ! This is a 1947 Kit Manufacturing Teardrop Trailer Deluxe Model (2 door) Manufactured by Kit Manufacturing Norwalk, CA. Good clean AZ title Original frame, independent torsion axel, tongue (1"7/8 ball), 16" wheels, window frame (plexiglass windows), rain gutters, stove, ice box, hatch prop and taillight/license plate light on hatch. Trailer was restored in 2002 with new aluminum skin. Tire size 5.50x16 - 6 ply with tubes. Have a spare 16" wheel (tire shot) new inner tube in box. Taillights are 32 Ford. Fiberglass reproduction fenders. Also has wheel to move around - 4 prong flat plug for lights. Locking doors and hatch Interior is Birch Cabinet Grade plywood/with sealer. Oak roof stays and oak shelf. 4" Foam mattress - room for 6" person. Inside rear hatch is the propane stove, ice box and storage - Aluminum counter and walls.
Trailer was always pulled by Street Rods to car shows and camping trips. When I lived in PA trailer went to upstate NY, Tampa, FL (stop off at South of the Border) and local car shows.
When I moved to AZ, trailer and 1939 Ford ( CAR NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AD ) were left in storage. 1 year later I flew back to PA and drove back to AZ with 39 and teardrop. Trailer has been on Route 66 on the trip back to AZ. (Teardrop always stored inside) This is not a homemade trailer. Trailer pulls and handles great at 70 MPH. 71 years young and a survivor. .
