Vehicle description
1946 Piper J3C-65
Own a Classic! Not a show winner but a good looking Cub with just the right amount of patina for a 72 year old Classic. Glossy yellow paint stands out nicely and gets lots of compliments. Better looking than about 80 percent of the J3 Cubs out there. Airline pilot owned for 20 years. I’ve instructed both my kids in Cub and my son flies it solo. He wants to go further so looking to move up to a cross country airplane. Fuselage last covered in 1975, wings covered (and entire airplane painted) in 1987, both with polyester fabric. Recover it and have a $50K Cub or fly as is for another 20 years. Always hangared. Come see and bring your mechanic, you will not be disappointed. For sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel auction at my discretion. Time will increase as my son is building solo cross country time. Bid with confidence. Call Fred with any questions - 704 965-5640.
