19 37 American LaFrance Type RB 450 “Scout”. S hipped to Burgettstown, Pa on June 7, 1937. Truck is in original condition. Engine is eight cylinder . It ran when I purchased it, but I bought it knowing it had thrown a rod, and was only hitting on seven. Water was mixing with the oil. So I parked it hoping to make it a project truck. Rear seal has also got a leak. Mostly original equipment, including bell, ladders , pike pole and extinguisher. Bunker gear rack on passenger side of this rig as this was a volunteer company truck. I’ve changed the fluids, turned the rotors, r ecently rebuilt the starter, and have been replacing the running board mats. The 50 gallon water vessel has been removed. Passenger benches are i nstalled in the rear hose bed. Truck has Texas title. Truck has s pent the last 25 years stored in side various warehouse s in Humble, Texas . For the last 12 years it has been a static display for a children’s birthday party service. It is now sitting in a neighbor’s garage waiting for its new owner to pick it up. Seller reserves the right to sell the truck locally . Truck is presently advertised elsewhere for expeditious sale. Truck must be ret rieved within five days (5 days) of sale. We closed our party business and truck must be moved. Or, we can arrange for it to be store d l ocally if you agree to pay the additional storage expense .
