Vehicle description
1928 Model A Ford Sprint Car. Restored by famed Hot Rod Builder Mike Rothman.
Car was built in 1941 and when World War II broke out it was put into the barn loft of one of the 4 partners in the car with intention of running the car when the war ended. All of them returned home, and the car was raced 1 time, and then disassembled and put into the barn loft until 2013 when it was sold. I acquired the car and reassembled it, and then had it restored.
It has a new modern aluminum radiator, but everything else was with the car when made in 1941 except for the steering column. The engine runs good but has not been overhauled. The car is rewired and the steering has been changed to be functional and safe with a period correct steering column from a 1929 Plymouth, and modern pitman arm plus break away safety knuckle.
Model A frame, Model A rear end, and Model A front end, and a Zenith carb. It has been used in a couple vintage events and driven by an ARCA Series NASCAR Driver/Crew Chief in those events. It will fit a driver about 5"6" to 5"8" and weighing less than 200 lbs.
It would make a great car for vintage exhibition events.
