“Offered for sale is a very rare and very original 1927 Seagrave fire truck. This truck was sold new tot he Anaconda Montana Fire Department. It runs and drives very well. The pump is free, but we have not tried to flow water. This truck is very unusual with its wood spoke wheels and chain drive being produced so late in the 20's. The truck is very original, and has only had certain areas repainted over the year, while still retaining its original gold leaf details, which were taped off when the paintwork occurred. It also has a very rare and original Seagrave removable windshield. This truck could easily be used and enjoyed in its as found condition. Also, included is an original delivery picture of this very truck ! Clean title. Please feel free to ask questions. This is truly a very rare and unique piece of American firefighting history ! don't miss out !!” |

Vehicle description
Offered for sale is a very rare and very original 1927 Seagrave fire truck. This truck was sold new to the Anaconda Montana Fire Department. It fire right up, runs and drives very well. The engine produces very good oil pressure, and does not run hot. The pump is free, but we have not tried to flow water. This truck is very unusual with its wood spoke wheels and chain drive being produced so late in the 20"s. The truck is very original, and really is a time capsule. It has only had certain areas repainted a very long time ago, while still retaining its original gold leaf details, which were taped off when the paintwork occurred. It also has a very rare and original Seagrave removable windshield. This truck could easily be used and enjoyed in its as found condition. The only real issues are the bed wood will need to be redone, and the fuel tank does have a few pinholes in it. We are running the truck off of a marine type portable fuel tank. Also, included is an original delivery picture of this very truck ! Clean title. Please feel free to ask questions. This is truly a very rare and unique piece of American firefighting history ! don"t miss out ! We can assist with shipping.
