Vehicle description
Very Cool One Wheel Trailer I have found. I have done a small bit of research on line and honestly am not sure what we have here. The one"s that look the most like it are the Phoenix Trailers. And I have had at least 2 different gentleman email me saying they thought the same thing. The difference in this one and the other examples I have found is this one is Fiberglass! I mean look at the body line with those tail lights. So maybe this one was a Proto Type.?. I cannot find any markings. That said, Not sure how to date this thing. The steel frame of the trailer is solid. Of course it could use some clean up work, but overall very restore able. The fiberglass body is solid. If it was mine, I would want to reinforce the bottom,(something like an aluminum floor) its not in bad shape, but is a little softer than the rest. I mean you could probably use it like it is, but I am trying to point out exactly what I see. The Crazy Wheel section is Cast Aluminum and has no less than 4 Shocks! All of the crazy wheel section is in good shape, I am sure it could use shocks! If you notice in pictures there are C Clamps on the wheel section, they are Only There to hold the crazy wheel from spinning around so you can move it around without fighting it, the previous owner put them on, they will probably need to be cut off. The rear tire does hold air,I would not pull it down the road. Tire size is 4.80-8. This does have out riggers to hold it up when not in use. The little pins that hold them up in place are stuck and look painted over. You can just get the legs down now by squeezing the leg by it. The parts that attach to the bumper are also stuck. There is one handle missing on those mechanisms in the pictures, it is in the trailer. Bumper has a fixable tweak on the right side. I have no idea why, but someone obviously added the vents. maybe they camped in it? Overall length from where it attaches to your bumper to the rear bumper is 75". It is approximately 37" wide. I hauled it home in the bed of my 64 El Camino. I posted as many pictures as I could. I will be glad to answer questions. I would be glad to hear any input on what exactly I have. When I was a kid in the 70s my parents pulled a little Allstate one wheel behind our Model A roadster hot rod. We had to have some place to pack our tent and coolers for those road trips. I say this because I have been Hip to these things for a while, and this one is super cool, I have not seen another,Just Like It, Anywhere. I will not ship. But will be glad to help load.
